Round Robins...

I am doing one RR round every year in my very special Yahoogroup, love it because it´s such a friendly group and we know each other for several years now;-)) Mom who can´t speak a single English word, is normally stitching with us too;-))

Wie jedes Jahr mache ich auch in diesem wieder an einem Round Robin mit und zwar in meiner Yahoogruppe, wir sind schon sehr lange zusammen und kennen uns gut, deshalb läuft das da auch immer ganz wunderbar...sogar meine Mutter stickt jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal mit, obwohl sie kein Englisch spricht, auch das klappt gut und macht ihr viel Spass...gell??!

Now I have stitched on three pieces already:
The first one is mom´s, she has chosen Blueribbon Design "WinterWingding" and this is a lot of fun stitching...it went really fast too...the pic shows the design after mom´s and my own stitching;-)

Drei RRs habe ich schon bestickt:
Der erste hier gehört meiner Mutter, sie hat ein Muster von Blueribbon ausgesucht, das heisst Winter Wingding...gefällt mir auch gut uns stickt sich ganz flott

The second one is mine:
I´ve chosen a Rosewood Manor chart "And a garden grew"...I fell in love with it as soon as I´ve seen it...but it is tooo big for a RR round and I don´t want to have it as an UFO for a long time...so I decided to stitch on a wide handpainted banding...I started on the left above....love it already;-))
But it isn´t a fast stitching piece, there are tons of different colors, I counted about 120 skeins for the whole piece*ufff*...I really hope everyone likes to stitch on it anyhow;-))

And a garden grew...genauso fühlt man sich auch, der Garten wächst...allerdings nur langsam, da es gefühlte Tausend Farbwechseln sind;-)) Nein, es sind NUR 120 Farben etwa...Ich habs ein wenig geändert, damit es nicht ganz so gross wird und werde jetzt erst mal den oberen Teil sticken lassen und dann schauen, was unten noch draufpasst. Ich sticke auf einem breiten bedruckten V&H Band, sieht man auf dem Bild nur schlecht...schade...

And the next one is Danes RR...she has chosen quilt squares as her theme and sent my favourite handdyed threads around....they can be found here

Und hier kommt Danes RR: Quilt Quadrate, schön oder??? Das ging wieder ganz flott und hat viel Spass gemacht, vor allem weil Dane meine Lieblingsgarne mitgeschickt hat, die sind einfach nur schön;-))

And we also have another RR round which is completely different: Everyone has chosen a christmas ornie and all participants stitch it up...one per month....I already stitched the first two and here they are:

Und dann gibts noch was anderes, das wir auch in RR Art machen: Jede Teilnehmerin hat sich ein Weihnachtsornament ausgesucht und pro Monat sticken wir dann alle dasselbe...diese beiden sind soweit schon fertig;-))
